Julie Salzano recognized as one of the first female detectives in NYC.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Julie began writing at the age of thirteen and by high school graduation had produced two plays. Since her father was a New York City police lieutenant she became one of the first women to work with men on patrol. Julie later graduated from Columbia University with a doctorate degree in Education.
Publications
Laura is an undercover agent searching for the truth about her childhood friend and idol Vinnie. In her undercover role she is set up by mobsters to take the fall for the murders of a squad of detectives when she learns that Vinnie was part of that gang. Her secret love for him and his secret identity become too much when the truth is finally revealed.
Acting
Julie has been performing since she was five years old with her aunt who was a Broadway dancer and singer. Recently she has been performing in cabarets in New York City at Don’t Tell Mama, The Laurie Beechman Theater, and the Duplex. She had performed various principal roles in four off-Broadway productions with TGW Acting Studio.
Producing
Julie is the president and CEO of DeVeux Productions which has produced two Off-Broadway plays and an audio book complete with music. She is currently working on several projects including a stage production to be performed 2021-2022.
About Julie
Dr. Julie has rescued two dogs and a cat. She is a Long Island Revolutionary War research historian working with the oldest churches and town historians. She is an artist with her works shown in Art Leagues in New York. Julie is a theater buff and actress and hopes one day to grace larger stages. Learn more about Julie.
