About Julie
When Dr. Julie Salzano writes about the minds and hearts of cops and crooks, she knows what she’s talking about. She’s worked for the New York City Police Department for fifteen years and earned a doctorate in Education.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Julie knew from an early age that she wasn’t going the Barbie route. She began writing at the age of thirteen and by high school graduation had produced two plays. Since her father was a New York City police lieutenant, it may not have been surprising that Julie graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a faculty award for excellence.

Actress
Julie has been performing since she was five years old with her aunt who was a Broadway dancer and singer. Recently she has been four Off-Broadway shows.

Writer
Julie is an award winning writer on Long Island where she lives. She began writing stories when she was 13 and has never stopped. Four Screenwriting awards, six awards for magazine articles. She has written two books, a thriller and a fantasy.

Julie produced two Off-Broadway theater shows and an audio book.
